The successful issue of the first floating rate corporate bond in April 2011, and we achieved the longest maturity (7 Years) for a corporate bond in the Nigerian capital markets with the Dana Group of Companies N8.01 Billion Series 1 Bonds due April 2018.

We executed the first structured corporate debt issue guaranteed by a foreign development finance institution (GuarantCo) and listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange in September 2011, with the Tower Funding Plc N4.63 Billion Series 1 Floating Rate Bonds due September 2018.

Our team structured the first “AAA” rated corporate bond listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange with the N1 Billion Series 1 Tranche B Floating Rate Bonds issued by Tower Funding Plc in 2011;

Our team successfully structured and issued the Series 2 and Series 3 Notes under the N100 Billion Residential Mortgage Backed Securities on behalf of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria in 2012, the first RMBS transaction in Nigeria listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange.

We have independently advised on the first sub-sovereign debt restructuring transaction in Nigeria involving an aggregate principal debt outstanding of N50 Billion, a landmark precedent transaction in the Nigerian Capital Markets.

  • Company Set-up | Development Bank of Nigeria ($1.3Billion)

    We set up DBN as a Wholesale DFI, raised the equity, developed all policies & operational documents, obtained the CBN license and developed its Lending Guidelines amongst other tasks.

  • Company Set-up | Mortgage Warehouse Funding Limited (MWFL) ₦20 Billion Multi-Seller Asset Backed Commercial Paper Programme

    We developed and set up the first member user vehicle to provide short term funding to the mortgage sector in 2014

  • Company Set-up | Nigeria Mortgage Refinance Company Plc (NMRC) N140 Billion Medium Term Note Programme

    We set up NMRC as a company, raised its N7.95billion equity, developed all policies & operational documents, obtained CBN license and developed its Uniform Underwriting Standards (UUS). We structured the first “AAA” pay-through bond in July 2015 and achieved the longest maturity (15 years) for a corporate bond in the Nigerian capital markets.
